Several engine options are available for the 2020 Wrangler, and each one is more powerful than the last. Coming standard on all versions of the Wrangler is a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine pairs with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Optional is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which comes standard with the eight-speed automatic as is available on all trims. Paring either of these engines with the Sahara trim also gets you Jeeps mild eTorque hybrid system, which shuts off the engine in places where it would otherwise idle to provide you with a better fuel economy. The last engine that is now available is the all-new 3.0-liter diesel.

Kicking things off is the Sport and it comes with 17-inch steel wheels, skid plates, tow hooks, foglights, removable full metal doors, a fold-down windshield, cruise control, push-button start, and a one-piece folding rear seat. There are numerous tech features including a 5-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, a rearview camera, and an eight-speaker sound system. The unlimited version also gets a larger gas tank and air conditioning. A sub-trim for the Sport is the Sport S, which comes with alloy wheels, automatic headlights, remote locking and unlocking, heated power mirrors, power windows and locks, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and sun visors. The Unlimited version, known as the Altitude, adds 18-inch wheels, heavy-duty brakes, and rear window defroster and washer. Even better is the Sport S has three different special editions. The first is the Black and Tan, which adds all-terrain tires, side rails, a more prominent driver information display, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Next up is the Willy’s, which delivers more off-road features in the form of a limited-slip rear differential, rails and shocks that are lifted from the Rubicon trim, and 32-inch all-terrain tires.  Finally, the Freedom package has military-themed graphics and tinted windows.

Up next is the Sahara trim, which adds to the already extensive list with a four-wheel-drive system with a lockable center differential. The Altitude version has a hardtop, a rear window washer and defroster, and leather upholstery. Also included are all the features from the Black and Tan model. The Sahara is four-door only.

The most off-road capable of all the Wranglers is the Rubicon, and it comes with 17-inch wheels, special off-road tires, heavy-duty axles with shorter gearing, 4.0-to-1 low range gearing, electronic front and lockable rear differentials. The Rubicon also gets rock rails, an electronically disconnecting front stabilizer bar, and upgraded cloth upholstery.
